There are many opportunities for students to participate in music throughout their 4 years at Winchester High School.
Mary Costello
Ms. Costello is the Director of the Winchester Music Department. She also conducts the WHS Orchestras.

Nick Costello
Mr. Costello runs the WHS Band Program which includes Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band. All Freshmen start with Concert Band and participate in the Marching Band. They can choose to audition in the Spring for one of the other groups starting the next Fall. He is also the conductor of the elementary bands as well as the WPS Department Evaluator.

Joel Buford
Mr. Buford runs the WHS Choral Program which includes Concert Choir, Bella Voce, Chamber Singers and Octets.
Mr. Buford has been a music teacher in Winchester Public Schools for over 15 years. Before coming to WHS in 2015, he was a music teacher in two WPS elementary schools and then the Chorus teacher at McCall Middle School for several years.
He is a graduate of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and Boston University.
